This 2-day workshop is designed to help you learn the process of how a script evolves from words on a page into the characters you see on your favourite cartoons and anime series.  There will be discussions about the opportunities available to you in the current voice-over industry, in particular those offered through places like Chinook Animation in Calgary and what is expected from you at auditions and on the job.
Specifically, you will:
Work in a professional studio, with industry-standard equipment
Become familiar with mic technique, studio etiquette and industry terminology in both anime and animation
Learn how to create characters, build on what you have experimented with already and some that you may not have thought about so far
Learn how to play a scene and make it believable, using the essence of your personality and imagination
Receive direction on your reads and apply it to the next take.
Discuss the business of the business, such as agents, demos, and online opportunities.
Receive all of your recorded work on an mp3 at the end of the 2-day workshop, which you can use create an animation demo
