Audition Notice: SAIT Film Productions

CASTING CALL

Our project, Tintinnabulate, is a dramatic short that explores the resilience of the human spirit and the effect grief has on an individual. In a home filled with whispers of the past, an elderly woman’s struggle with grief evolves into a heartfelt journey of love, remembrance, and renewal. This is a fantastic opportunity for local actors to collaborate on a creative, high-quality production while gaining valuable on-screen experience. The roles are an excellent opportunity for experience and skill development, and while they are non-union and unpaid, they offer valuable exposure to the industry. Please note that we cannot provide transportation.

We are looking to cast:

• Cousin: (20s-40s, male, caucasian.) Warm and well-meaning, yet has an air of mystery about him. He genuinely cares for his grandmother, often offering advice and encouragement, but his motives and presence in her journey remain subtly intriguing.

• Family: Throughout the story, the grandmother has flashbacks of treasured memories with her family from years before. We are looking for someone for each family member, a mother and a father (20s-40s Caucasian/Any ethnicity) with 1-3 children (preferably late teens-20s, any ethnicity).

Filming will take place on February 11, 12 and 14, with auditions with the director on February 8/9. Though this is a student production, our team is dedicated to maintaining a professional and supportive environment.

I look forward to hearing from you.
