EDJE DANCE THEATRE IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR OUR
2015-2016 SEASON
Monday September 21st, 2015 between 7:00pm and 9:00pm
Registration deadline - September 19th at 11:59pm
Please send your headshot and current CV to audition@edjedance.ca to register.
Successful applicants will be contacted within 48 hours of the registration
deadline with their time slot.
If you are unable to attend in person or wish to audition
before September 21st, email audition@edjedance.ca
to arrange for a video audition submission. Deadline for submission will be
September 20th,
2015 at 11:59pm.
EDJE already has a number of semi-professional performance
contracts booked, with the season culminating in a full-production performance
of Home Front, a "combination of contemporary dance and vernacular dance
styles of the 1930's and 40's, interwoven with dialogue, music and physical
theatre to explore the battle waged at home in Canada during World War
II". Home Front is part of the tuition-based program designed to provide
company members (both apprentice and professional dancers) with structured
training in contemporary dance and the opportunity to perform in a full scale
production with honorariums or full pay *based on grant approval*
Weekly class/rehearsals take place on Monday nights at
the Quest Theatre space near Chinook mall, 6:30pm-9:00pm.
They will run September 28th - December 7th, 2015 and January
18th - June 20th, 2016.
Home Front will tech June 26th - 29th, with a preview on
June 30th and performances July 1st - 2nd, 2016.
Tuition
Tuition is $1275, which includes 30 weekly 2.5 hr
classes/rehearsals, 4 days of tech and 3 performances of Home Front, as well as
other honorarium-based performances as they arise.
Tuition payment can be made in full, or in 4 post-dated
cheque
installments:
September 28th, 2015 - $318.75
November 30th, 2015 - $318.75
February 8th, 2016 - $318.75
May 2nd, 2016 - $318.75
