Let it Land!
When
we describe something to another person, we usually watch to see if
they are "Getting It"as we move forward in the
conversation. (It doesn't always work well if you have teenagers).
It
doesn't matter if you are giving a presentation, public speaking or
voicing a commercial. Every time you make a point; 'Point'. Yes,
point your finger at the person (real or imagined) with whom you are
speaking, each time you make a point.
This
allows your information to "LAND". The brief pause and the
inflection that will occur will help your audience keep up with what
you are saying. it will also help YOU avoid run-on sentences and even
your pacing.
Try
it :) ~xod
