Logline: Combating isolation and disillusion after their night shift, construction worker Rowan navigates the 'Canadian City' while it shifts and reshapes itself around them.
ROWAN
Any Ethnicity. Any Gender. (20-50)
(3 Days outdoor/indoor) (Stunt experience preferred but not required.)
Construction worker for a road crew. Despondent. Insular. Works long hours. An isolated newcomer to the city. Survives by sleeping on a couch in their cousin’s living room. Rowan faces each obstacle with a subdued mental distress but with strong convictions.
CHELSEA
Any Ethnicity. Female. (25-50)
(1 day, indoor.)
Rowan’s Cousin. Lives with her partner in a small house/apartment in the inner city suburbia. Stoic and overworked. Rowan came to her out of desperation and their relationship is based mainly on familial respect. So they are allowed to take up the living room till they get back on their feet.
JAKE
Any Ethnicity. Male. (20-50)
(1 day, outdoor.) (Stunt experience preferred but not required.)
Rowan’s Coworker ‘Friend’. Self-centred. Abrasive. Oblivious. Joker. Tackles two jobs while relying on favours. Playful ribbing belies a deep and unrelenting bitterness for the world around him and the people that inhabit it. Deeply misogynist and cruel while trying to relate to the people around him.
Trigger warnings: Profanity, self-harm, violence, misogyny.
