https://calendly.com/dewdneyplayers/hurry-hard-auditions

Audition Requirements:
Actors are asked to prepare a brief monologue of their choice, either comedic or dramatic. Participants should also be ready to perform a cold read from the script during the audition. We encourage individuals of all ages, genders, ethnicities and abilities to audition.

What to Expect:
- A supportive audition environment
- Opportunity to show both prepared and spontaneous reading skills
- Opportunity to ask questions and have fun!
Casting decisions will be made based on the needs of the production.
Rehearsals will be determined once everyone is cast. Rehearsal schedules will be three days a week (usually two weekday evenings and Saturday or Sunday). The show will run in early November 2026.

The Plot:
Seven years ago, a rocky divorce split up Bill and Sandy, as well as their championship curling team. On the brink of the most important Bonspiel of the year, a sudden emergency brings Bill and Sandy, their friends, their siblings, and a hotshot newcomer together in a desperate attempt to form a winning foursome. Battling on and off the ice, can this ragtag team of curlers face their personal differences, long-held sibling rivalry, and lingering feelings in order to bring home a win (and maybe even find love in the process)?

Characters:
Terry: Terry is the skip of the men’s curling team. He’s in his 40s and tends to need his brother Bill’s help a lot (even if he doesn’t want to admit it). He’s funny, loud, and a former hockey player.
Bill: Bill is Sandy’s ex-husband. He’s in his 40s, looks out for his brother and helps however he can but is quiet and hesitant to stand up for what he wants.
Sandy: Sandy is the skip of the women’s team, and runs her own catering business. She is a confident and hardworking woman in her 40s.
Darlene: Darlene is Sandy’s best friend, who is a little silly and loves her friend fiercely. She’s also in her 40s and is on the women’s curling team with Sandy.
Johnny: Johnny is the new guy in the curling club. He’s 20 – 30 and is obsessed with health and fitness. He’s a bit of a flirt, but is also very helpful to those around him.

Content Transparency:
The production of Hurry Hard contains theatrical intimacy, including an on-stage kiss between Bill and Sandy. All theatrical intimacy will be strictly choreographed and actor boundaries will be respected at all times. By auditioning, actors acknowledge they may be required to perform this action during the performance.

Casting Call: SAIT

CEO!
Music Video

NON-UNION

NON-PAID
SAIT- Film and Video Production

Producer: Jessica Luu
Director: Jasmine Lee
Writer: Jasmine Lee
Casting Director: Jenna Letendre,
Possible Start Dates: March 19 – March 22,
Auditions: March 11, 2026
Shoot Location: Calgary,AB

STORYLINE: Chaos in all its forms takes over a rigid corporate workplace when a musical uprising arrives, led by H!CKEY. As she and her crew perform throughout the office, the employees initially remain indifferent — seemingly unbothered and unaware of the disruption around them.

However, beneath the surface, anxiety and pressure begins to build. What starts as subtle unease slowly becomes contagious, spreading from desk to desk until the entire office erupts into full-blown chaos.

While “CEO!” carries political undertones, the music video strives to explore these themes through fun and striking imagery. By juxtaposing sterile workplace culture with youthful, evocative, and rebellious energy, the music video visually questions social expectations and the systems that encourage conformity.

CHARECTER DESCRIPTION:

[CEO] Middle Aged, male. Preferably Caucasian, has a boss deminer and is willing to get angry on set.

Please email acting resumes, availability and headshots with subject “CEO!_(Character Name”) to:

Casting Call: Improvised Film

Bruce Brady brucebrady@hotmail.com

Sun, Nov 23, 7:25 PM (2 days ago)
to info@corogues.com
Dear Company Of Rogues:

Please text or call me.  403 473 5900.  I am an businessman from Calgary.  I trained in professional art, music, writing and photography while running a company.  I also trained in Line Production and have funded a number of film and television productions since 2012 while running my building company.  You can see me here at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWtr2SJLIwU  and https://youtu.be/XVjfCwcqRP4  and https://youtu.be/bxlBOCUu3FM

I am shooting an independent (non union) (self funded)  murder mystery/horror film based on a true story about a series of 4 murders that took place in southern Alberta years ago where I was raised.  I knew some of the victims.
The film will take place in a small town south of Calgary (most likely Longview) in the dead of winter when the weather turns the absolute worst.
The film is very different from a normal scripted project.
  • There are no memorized lines.  Actors and actresses will get an outline of the events and then assume the characters and respond naturally in the moment in the way they feel that character would naturally respond.  I am hoping this improv will be conversational and improvised, like real life as if they were part of the original story.
  • We will be shooting in real weather and natural locations which I hope will also add to the sense that the actor/actresses are living the character and the movie.
  • We will walk thru the entire script in the studio first so we all get the sense of the story.  Then when the weather is the absolute worst we will go shoot it in the dead of winter raw and real and hopefully in one or two takes.
Everyone involved will:
  • Be credited in the film
  • Sign a waiver
  • Get dinner on filming days
  • Have gas/mileage covered to get to the location
  • I am hoping you will volunteer but if needed we can talk about small stipends.
  • If someone has been a mechanic, waitress, bartender, innkeeper, then that would give the role so much more realism and punch.
Here are the roles we’re looking to fill:
MAIN CAST CHARACTERS
The Main Character is already taken: The rest of the cast that the main character interacts with are as follows;
  1. Mike: Male, 40–50
  2. Innkeeper: Female, 60s
  3. Mechanic: Male, 40s
  4. Waitress: Female, 20–25
  5. Bartender: Female, 30–40
  6. Wally: Male, 45–55
  7. Librarian: Female, 35–45
VICTIM CHARACTERS
The victims are dead, but will basically be alive during the filming of the memories/hauntings of the main character as he remembers them the moments before and of their murders.  The 4 victims are;
  1. Melinda: Female, 20–25 Dead female victim who was found nude lying in the snow on the ice under the castle bridge
  2. Lorraine: Female, 25–30 Dead kindergarden teacher
  3. Peter: Male, 40–45 Dead police officer
  4. Darren: Male, 20–25 Dead young redneck cowboy
BACKGROUND CAST
Background cast - 20 people max for background cast.  People driving by in cars, walking down the street, or sitting in the cafe or bar.
If this sounds like something your actors might enjoy — or if you’d like more details — Please email me back.  The final script will be given to those being considered for the final parts.
Sincerely Bruce - text prefered or call (403) 473 5900
