The Liffey Players will be holding open auditions for the
Calgary Premiere of "August: Osage County"

August: Osage County will be presented in the Victor
Mitchell Theatre from Nov. 8 - 16, 2013.
Auditions will be done in 10-minute increments by
appointment only (please arrive 10 minutes early) Bring a headshot or current
picture and resume to your audition.
Please prepare a short monologue - preferably dramatic -
no more than 3 minutes in length.
You may also be asked to participate in a cold reading.
Rehearsals will be Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays
starting September 3.
Wednesdays will be added in October as necessary.
Synopsis
When their patriarch disappears, the Weston clan gathers
to deal with the crisis. Unfortunately, with the Westons, family time is a
blood sport.
Leading this journey through a minefield of dark secrets,
repressed truths and emotional savagery is the pill-popping mommy dearest, who
stirs the toxic brew with perverse delight. Rich with insight and crackling
humour,
August: Osage County has been hailed as the first great
