At a large, tastefully appointed Sneden's Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of Farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room, and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken, and wife, Chris, must get "the story" straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.

AUDITIONS CLOSE - Sunday, August 7th at 11:59pm

REQUIREMENTS
Anyone wishing to be considered for any of our productions this season must submit a General Audition form along with all necessary information.

You must be 10 years of age at the time of the audition to be considered.

In order to submit an a form for consideration you will need to prepare the following:

Theatre Resume or List of Performance information
This does not need to be a formal resume or even fancy. A simple list of what you may have done in the past that shows where you are at in a performance level. For some this may be as simple as performing for your family, for others it could be dance or vocal recitals.  If you have a formal resume we would accept that as well.

Headshot or Photo
This does not need to be a professional photo, but it does need to show your face, so please no photos in profile or with sunglasses on.  This allows the team to see you and know who they are about to hear and see perform.  While the photo does not need to be professional, it does need to be clear, well lit and show your face.

VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
In order to submit for our General Auditions, you will need to have access to a video recording device of some kind.  Again, you do not need to spend a bunch of money, but you do need to make sure that the device can clearly see you and hear you, especially once you start playing your music.

You will also need to upload your videos to YOUTUBE as an unlisted video.  This means that only people with the link and yourself can access it.

For almost everyone, there are FOUR VIDEOS which are required.

1.  HELLO Video
2. MONOLOGUE Video
3. UPTEMPO Musical Theatre Video
4. BALLAD Musical Theatre Video

If you are only submitting for "Peter and the Star Catcher", you only need to submit Videos 1 and 2.

Callback dates will be announced for each show in the coming weeks.

Audition Notice: The Frontier Below PAID

AUDITION NOTICE

Part 4 of a visual art series titled The Frontier Below, created by local filmmaker Brett Ferster.

The closing date to submit is August 1st @ 5:00PM. Filming will take place in Calgary on August 18th, 2022.

Download the Casting Call: Casting Call Link

ABOUT THE SERIES

The Frontier Below is a filmed series of micro-narratives that reinterprets moments from Alberta’s oil industry in a way that makes them feel like folklore or mythic tales. Driven largely by visuals, the goal is to represent these stories through metaphor, symbolism and juxtapose the enormity of a nation building industry with intimate character moments and the individual .

Other Notes about the Series:
Dialogue is built by using repurposed sections of  manuscripts and speeches from history.
Interior scenes for the series are all set in abandoned, unused, or vacated spaces in the city.

Part 4 Synopsis

At a time when ranching is still the dominant industry in Alberta, a rancher must decide the future of his land when presented with the opportunity to lease it away for exploration. Beginning with speeches from the Rancher and the Industrialist, the physical exchange of this transaction unfolds across a ritualistic tea ceremony.
