STORM WARNING has been cast

Thank you, to each and every one, who gave your time, energy and for bringing so much heart to the Storm Warning auditions-it was a fun and exciting process and we welcomed many wonderful actors. Each of the roles was highly contested because of the quality of talent. Thanks again for all of your hard work. I hope you all had fun and grew through the process.

NEW CLASS

Master Class Screenwriting

The Master classes will feature working classes and study for participants who have the goal to advance a screenplay, finish a short film or documentary or advance their knowledge of the dramatic arts. Participants will write at least 4 scenes, and choose a scene to be done with actors as writer and director. As well participants will study screenplay structure, character lines and internal/external goals, thematic and visual interpretation, and prepare beat outlines on their screenplay or short or write an act or draft of a Screenplay. The class is designed as a Master Class and will be of interest to screenwriters, actors, playwrights, directors and others who want hands-on, directed studies in screenwriting and dramatic writing. $690.00 *Private sessions also available for additional cost

AUDITION NOTICE

STORM WARNING

October 26th – November 5th, 2011

Set in 1953. A story of a damaged World War II veteran and the free-spirited woman who attempts to change his outlook on life. Jack Forrester and Emma Currie are thrown together by fate one weekend and their lives will never be the same.
Auditions will be held on Monday, August 8th, 6 -10PM

· Auditioning actors must be currently enrolled students, alumni, or faculty of Company of Rogues Actors’ Studio.
· Please submit a photo and resume with a note requesting an audition. Please let us know if you have any scheduling issues.
· The audition will consist of readings from the play. Sides (a scene/s) will be ready for pickup on Wednesday, August 3rd
· Please read the play. Reading scripts can be checked out from the studio for 24 hours and MUST BE RETURNED ON TIME – copy the play if you need it longer!
Rehearsals begin mid-late September. Will rehearse weekday mornings and possible weekends.

Great News!!

Company of Rogues Actors' Studio is certified as an educational institute by the Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada under subparagraphs 118.5(1)(a)(ii) and 118.6(1)(a)(ii) of the Income Tax Act.

Accordingly, students may claim the fees paid to the institution for the purposes of the tuition, education, and textbook credits provided that the fees total more than $100 and qualify as eligible tuition expenses. Additionally, students must have attained the age of 16 before the end of the year and the courses and/or programs supplied must provide the students with sufficient skills to enable them to work or improve their skills in a recognized occupation.

It is important to note that that certification of the institution by the Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada does not guarantee that the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will automatically accept receipts for all courses or programs offered by the institution for tuition tax credit purposes.
