FILM SYNOPSIS: 

After a series of seemingly unrelated events, a man with memory issues realizes he’s in a  therapy session exploring his own psyche. His therapist uses the Rorschach Test to help reveal  the dark truth he is missing. 

ROLES AND DESCRIPTIONS: 

[PARTY GOERS] All genders. 20s-30s. These party goers are dressed in Halloween costumes at a  house party.  

*Actors will be asked to provide their own Halloween costumes. No Marvel, DC or obvious  Disney costumes.

Calgary Black Film Festival on May 26-29, 2022

CALGARY BLACK FILM FESTIVAL is coming soon MAY 26 to 29!!

We need Ambassadors from your community!! You will soon get a poster to share and promote through your network, social media, newsletter, website, word of mouth, etc.! That's all it requires to be an ambassador. In return you can send us any of your events that don't occur during our festival and we will post it to our social platforms as well.

Casting Notice: SAIT Productions (Union & Non-Union Permitted)

Casting Call

Upcoming SAIT Student Production

The SAIT Film and Video program is holding an open casting for multiple upcoming productions by students going into their final semester. They will be shooting movies of various genres between March and August of 2022.

Rather than hold a dozen separate auditions SAIT will be holding one general audition using a selection of drama and comedy scenes. The students will then have access to these to cast their various films.

Members who work on SAIT projects, waive their fees but gain experience and assist up & coming Alberta filmmakers create their first production.

Audition time: Sunday, March 20 from 10am to 2 pm. Email to schedule a specific time.

If you submitted an audition last year (and thanks to everyone who did), you are free to audition again, or we can re-use your audition from last year. Just let us know what works for you. * All roles are open to any gender and ethnicities
* Anyone over 18 years old
* Pick your favourite scene and read for one of the two characters.

Instructions of the self-tape submission:
* You may use the provided scene, or a scene of your choosing.
* Please keep the videos to 3 minutes or less.
* Please include a slate at the start of the video.
* Please do NOT submit a monologue.

Notes:
* None of the productions will require stunts, or nudity.
* These are student films and will be on a volunteer basis - ACTRA

* Because of SAIT’s agreement with ACTRA, ACTRA members are welcome to participate.

Information about COVID-19:
* Currently there are no COVID-19 restrictions in place on Campus and all people are welcome to audition.
* Social distancing will be enforced.
* You may wear a mask for the audition if you prefer.

Casting Notice: Actors with Physical Disabilities sought for Upcoming Series

 Jackie Lind Casting is currently casting an upcoming series that will be filming in Calgary between April - August 2022.

We are looking for adult performers with physical disabilities to portray multiple roles in this series, and we are wondering if there is anyone in your circle who might be interested in auditioning for this project. 

Parameters include:
- Must reside in Alberta
- Must be at least 18 years old (no minors)
- Must have availability between April - August 2022
- A performer with a physical disability

To start, please send us an email with your name, a current photo, the age range you play and tell us a little bit about yourself. From there, we can select a role for you to audition for.
