Open Casting Call

OPEN CASTING CALL

We're doing a casting call for four short indie horror films, to be shot in Calgary and Area. Filming will start August 4th through until the end of the month. 
We are looking for local Calgary talent for as many of the roles as possible.
Auditions will be held at the Grey Eagle Hotel on Grey Eagle Drive SW, Calgary, between 10 AM and 4 PM, Saturday July 19th.

Please prepare one minute of comedy and one minute of drama for your audition.

The Man – male, late 30s early 40s, attractive
Bystander/office person 1
Bystander/office person 2
Bystander/office person 3
Bystander/office person 4
For the Bystanders we're looking for individuals of “office working age” (20-60) capable of acting as though he or she has been hit by a bullet.
Nurse – gender irrelevant, should be mid to late 20s or older.
Doctor – gender irrelevant, should be late 20s or older.
The Man's Wife – female, attractive. No speaking lines.
The Man's Son – male, 8 or 9 years of age, no speaking lines.
Security Officer 1 – gender irrelevant, should be mid to late 20s or older, with the physical appearance of a competent guard.
Security Officer 2 - gender irrelevant, should be mid to late 20s or older, with the physical appearance of a competent guard.

Andy – male, 30s, attractive

Mrs. Bricabrac: everybody’s mother, a classic cliché hyper-sweet grey-haired woman. Mid 60s.
Fred Hanson: a cardboard character who talks exactly the way a viewer expects him to talk, as though he has long since memorized his opinions. Mid 60s.
Hostage – female, strong enough to fight off a skinny male
Jim the Guard - male, overweight
David – male, cameraman, 20s – 30s, able to look evil
P.A. – male, early 20s, hapless
Chet – male, news reporter, an empty suit with commanding voice
Russell Wares – male, electrocuted convict
Old Woman – female, 70s – 80s, stern, with pearls
Blue Collar – male, huge, 30s – 40s, rough-looking
Teenager – any gender, 16 – 20.
Becky – female, attractive yet stupid-looking, blonde,
Customer in hardware store - any gender, 30-40
Cabbie – male, 30s - 40s
Bus Driver – male, 30s - 40s
Young Boy – male, 10-11, pukes on Brewster.
Steve – male, weatherman, 20s - 30s
Teenage girl – female, 15-18
