The Monument Auditions

AUDITIONS!

Theatre of Consequence will be holding auditions for “The Monument”
by Colleen Wagner on March 1, 2016 from 6-10pm at Ambrose University College. Rehearsals will start towards the end of April. The show runs from June 15-18, 2016 at the Motel Space in Arts Commons.

Synopsis: In the aftermath of a war, it is not usually difficult to tell who has been the oppressed and who the oppressor. This should be obvious in the case of Stetko and Mejra, but lines blur and they both find themselves capable of things they never imagined. The Monument highlights the diverse nature of power and control and the ambiguities of morality and justice.

Auditioning the roles of:

Mejra (Late 30's to late 40's) A strong yet angry woman, whose life has been destroyed by war, grapples with what has become of her life.

Girl (18-22) Invisible to Stetko and Mejra, but influences the world about her.

Please prepare a 60 second dramatic monologue and please be prepared to engage in some stylistic movement. Auditionees should be prepared to do a cold read if asked.

Actors will receive an honorarium. Please email Sienna at theatreofconsequence@gmail.com, to book your audition slot. Further audition information will be sent at that time.
