Simply Theatre Audition Notice - A Few Good Men

Simply Theatre is excited to announce it's upcoming show this fall, A Few GoodMen by Aaron Sorkin.

October 19th to 27th
Pumphouse Theatre, Joyce Doolittle Theatre

Rehearsals run:
August 12th - October 10th
Parkdale Community Centre
SundayMonday & Wednesday evenings from 7:00-10:00.

Available roles are:
Lance Corporal Harold W. Dawson – M – age 22 to 26 –                            
Dawson is a strong, highly dedicated and obedient solder and is one of the accused. Nothing is more important to him than the Marine Code which he has committed his life to following.

Lieutenant Junior Grade Daniel A. Kaffee – M – age 26 to 32 –           
Kaffee is smart, cocky, quick witted lawyer who's given the case to defend the 2 men accused of murder.His carefree ways and non-military behavior make him a constant annoyance to his superior officers and Jo, his Co-counsel.Unknowingly he was given the case because of his record for plea bargaining but finds a reason to fight for these men.

Captain Isaac Whitaker – M – age 40 to 50 –                                              
Whitaker is in command of the Naval military legal department and is the one responsible for assigning Kaffee to the case.Jo pressures him to be part of the defense team and he allows it knowing there's more to the case than can be seen.

Captain Matthew A. Markinson – M – age 45 to 60 y –                           
Markinson is 2nd in command of the Guantanamo Bay base and is Jessop's right-hand man.He's been passed up for a few promotions, being of similar age to Jessop, and it's waring on him.He in many was is the moral compass of the play and is faced with a heavy choice.

Lieutenant Jonathan James Kendrick – M – age 25 to 30 –                   
Kendrick is the hard as nails Executive Officer of the base and is extremely intense in his spiritual and military beliefs.He blindly follows Jessop's leadership and never wavers from his loyalty.

Corporal Jeffery Owen Howard – M – age 20 to 25 –                                  
Howard is a soft spoken but loyal marine. More of an innocent type but dedicated.He has experienced what it means to be disciplined by his fellow marines.

Captain Julius Alexander Randolph – M – age 55 to 65 –                      
Randolph is the Judge overseeing the trial.A distinguished man who commands respect and attention when he speaks.He is known for his strong moral code and fairness in the military, legal world.

Supporting Cast – M – age 18 to 22 years –                                                
2 to 4 men to play Marines, Sailors, M.P.'s, Lawyers, etc ...
Sorry but we will not be casting any people under the age of 18.

7:00pm to 10:00pm

Prepare a 2 minute dramatic monologue
Be prepared to receive some direction.
