Want to Perform at City of Calgary’s Park(ing) Day Event?

Want to perform at City of Calgary’s Park(ing) Day event?

Our team has been accepted to participate in Park(ing) Day in Calgary and we are now looking for performances to join our line-up.

PARK(ing) Day is an annual open-source global event where citizens, artists and designers collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into “PARK(ing)” spaces - temporary public spaces. The project aims to encourage critical thought and to spark our imaginations about how public spaces can be used.

We are looking for performances inspired by the theme Nature. Maybe you have written a poem about tree huggers, a scene about animals or can you juggle with recyclables? We want to see it! Have a piece you’d like to perform but you didn’t write it? As long as you have permission from the creator, submit your idea!

Details:

Location: Calgary downtown, Centre Street

Date: Friday September 21st Time: noon-6pm

Length of piece: Maximum 15 min

Please note that this is unpaid and the event is taking place outdoors so at this point we do not have access to power.

Please submit by September 17th by sending an email with your idea to creategreenart@gmail.com

Indicate in your email if you prefer a specific timeslot and if you would like to perform your piece more than once (yes, this is an option!)
