Audition Notice
Cappuccino Musical Theatre will be holding open auditions
for the Canadian Premiere production of “Frankenstein - A New Musical”.
Auditions will be
held on Friday January 6, 2012 from 6-10pm and Saturday January 7 from
10am-5pm.
Those interested
in auditioning are asked to prepare a musical theatre song that shows off your
range (please bring CD backing vocals as no accompanist will be provided) and a
dramatic monologue no more than 3 minutes in length.
Please bring a headshot and resume to your audition.
Auditions and
rehearsals will take place at the Cappuccino Musical Theatre rehearsal space
located at 1247 38 Ave NE, Calgary, AB
Cast of Characters:
Victor Frankenstein - Brilliant, young scientist - Tenor
The Creature/Condemned Man - High Baritone Elizabeth Lavenza - Victor’s Fiance
- Alto/Belter Henry Clerval - Victor’s lifelong Friend - Tenor Alphonse
Frankenstein - Victor’s Father - Baritone/Bass William - Victor’s 10-year-old
brother - treble voice **females will be considered for this role.
Justine Moritz - William’s Nanny - Soprano The Blind Man
- A Poor Cottager - Baritone **will be in ensemble as well Agatha - the blind
man’s daughter - soprano**will be in ensemble as well Ensemble - Male and Females needed of varying
age and voice type to fill multiple characters. Each ensemble member will play
multiple characters.
