AUDITION NOTICE: Shakespeare in the Park

MOUNT ROYAL UNIVERSITY AND THEATRE CALGARY PRESENT
SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK

Theatre Calgary and Mount Royal University will be holding auditions in Calgary on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14, 2013* for the company of Shakespeare in the Park which will perform Romeo and Juliet at Prince’s Island Park.

*Potential callbacks will be at the end of the day on Sun Apr 14.

PROGRAM/PRODUCTION DATES
First day of program Monday, May 13, 2013
First day of rehearsal Tuesday, May 21, 2013
Opening Thursday, June 27, 2013
Closing Saturday, August 10, 2013
Last day of program Saturday, August 17, 2013

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
· Must be a graduate of a theatre program at a post‐secondary institution within Alberta.
· Must have graduated in 2013, 2012, or 2011.
· Cannot be a registered Equity apprentice – can’t have signed any type of Equity contract.

PLEASE PREPARE
· Two contrasting Shakespeare monologues
