Audition Notice - The Coming Out Monologues

Performances are March 19, 20 & 21 downtown at the James Dutton Theatre. We are holding auditions for those interested in performing.

The Coming Out Monologues is an event celebrating our diverse stories of coming out from the LGBTQA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-gendered, transsexual, queer, ally) community. This is a great opportunity to tell your own story, read a created monologue or simply come out to support and enjoy the festivities!

At this time we ask that you share the audition information. We will connect with you closer to the date to share information about attending the event and how to purchase tickets. Our audition schedule is as follows:

Thursday, January 23, 2014
4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Mount Royal University
Saturday, January 25, 2014
1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Fairy Tales Film Festival Society Offices
Monday, January 27, 2014
4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
University of Calgary, Women’s Resource Centre

Our Philosophy: As an organization we value individual stories and believe that empowerment can be found through the expression of personal experiences. Exploring the immense range of perspectives from current and previous generations builds a sense of community and helps to create allies. By having events like this in Calgary we create safe spaces for the LGBTQ community and strengthen the perception the Calgary community as queer friendly and progressive environments.

Visit our dropbox here: http://bit.ly/1csm8ph for the poster for the auditions. As this event is open to all public please don’t hesitate to pass this invitation and poster on to friends, community members and other organizations.

This work would not have been made possible without amazing volunteers and support from Fairytales Film Presentation Society.
