Casting Call - First Light

Hello,

Hope all is well. My name is Myriam. I'm working for K+K Casting (http://krisandkaracasting.com/) and we're starting a Canada-wide casting call for teen boys for the lead role in a film called First Light which is a beautiful independent feature and a great opportunity for whomever gets the role. I was wanting to reach out to as many theatre programs as possible to see if any of the students might be interested in submitting an audition tape. 

Below is a bunch of information about the casting and where teens can submit their video. If you could blast it out to any and/or all of your theatre teachers/programs/male students (16-23 yrs), and include it in your newsletter if you have one, that would be amazing! If you know of anyone else or other organizations/programs who would be a good fit, please feel free to forward the email to them too.

K&K Casting is currently casting the Role of SEAN in the new Feature Film FIRST LIGHT - and that could be YOU!

We are looking specifically for male actors (any ethnicity) between the ages of 16-23 who can easily pull off looking 17.

LEAD STORYLINE: Seventeen-year-old SEAN TERRELL provides sanctuary for a classmate, ALEX LAINEY, who begins to develop extraordinary powers following an encounter with a UFO.

ROLE: SEAN TERRELL - MUST be able to realistically play 16-19 years old. 

Sean is 17, rough but still a kid, burdened with more responsibility than any teenager should have after his mom split, leaving him to look after his younger brother and aging grandma.

Emotionally guarded, he still harbours feelings for Alex, the girl he used to date, but who seems to have moved on.

A strange encounter with a UFO brings the two together again, but this epic adventure proves harrowing. As Alex's supernatural abilities grow stronger, she becomes an existential threat to Sean. Ultimately, he will regain the innocence he's lost while learning to let go of the past so that he can move forward with his life…LEAD"
